Welcome to Southern Sportsman Taxidermy,
your full time, professional wildlife art studio! When your
mount leaves my studio door to go on your wall, you will be proud of your
trophy. That is my promise to you because my goal is to provide you
with a one-of-a kind wildlife art display commemorating your hunting
or fishing skills for years to come.
My fascination with the art of taxidermy began when I was shortly
out of high school in 1986 when I ordered my first taxidermy supply catalog
which I still have. Today, I am fortunate enough to be able to enjoy
the art of taxidermy on a full time basis. Whether it be your
first buck to a trophy longbeard, I sincerely look
forward into putting the skills that I have learned over the years
into each mount that I am entrusted with as if it were my own.
A quality mount begins by using quality materials and devoting
many segmented hours to
each mount. I only use the highest quality, anatomically correct forms,
whitebanded eyes, earliners, referance, and tanning materials available on the
market today. I refuse to take shortcuts or use inferior methods or
products in my work. Why should you settle for anything
less? If your looking for a shop that moves hundreds of
mounts per year, then you have the wrong taxidermist. If your looking for
the cheapest priced mount, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you
want a great looking mount with attention to detail, at a competive price, with
a reasonable return time, then please call to arrange a visit to my
showroom.
Because I understand the time, money, and effort that each of my
customers puts forth in the pursuit of his/her trophy,
I will not shy away in taking as many hours as needed in order to
return the highest quality mount that I can to each of my
customers. My average turnaround time is 3 to 6 months depending on
the specimen and I put that in writing. I appreciate your business and
value a chance to meet your taxidermy needs.
Your full time taxidermist,
